About Us

StorMan formed in New Zealand in November 1992, providing sales, support, training and consulting in the niche market of self storage software products. In this first year it became apparent that the StorMan Software had the potential to take the market by storm.

Over 20 years later StorMan now boasts much of the available market within Australia & New Zealand. In February 2007 we opened our American office and are currently enjoying a steady growth in the USA.

  • We've been in business since 1992 & our self storage management software is used by thousands of companies all over the world.
  • We offer phone, remote-access, fax, email & knowledgebase technical support from our offices in Brisbane, Auckland, London and Massachusetts. Our support is of the highest quality and all questions receive a response from one of our dedicated technical support engineers.
  • Our products are always under constant refinement and development. All of our products are mature, stable and multi-platform. We even use our products to power our internal customer systems.
  • We are a real software company staffed by a team of passionate, experienced people. We have dedicated developers, marketing staff and customer support professionals.
  • When customers suggest new features and ideas, we take them on board and include many of them in product updates. We do this simply because no one understands our customers needs better than our customers.
  • We offer an affordable, flexible licensing structure to suit the size of your business; be it small, medium, large or global. Our software is designed to help you grow - and to grow with you.

 

Company timeline

  • 1992 - StorMan founded in Australia & New Zealand by Stephen Davies (current owner).
  • 1995 - Brisbane office founded.
  • 1997 - StorMan v2.61 released.
  • 2001 - StorMan v3.01 released (the only management software sold in Australia that dealt with GST correctly from 'day one').
  • 2002 - StorMan turns 10.
  • 2006 - New Brisbane office opened.
  • 2007 - USA office opens.
  • 2008 - UK office opens.
  • 2009 - StorMan employs 15 people globally and are a recognised force in all markets that we compete in.
  • 2010 - StorMan v8 released. StorMan turns 18.
  • 2011 - StorMan has the majority of the Australasian market
  • 2012 - StorMan v9 released.

Over the past three decades, our innovative concepts and ideas have won industry awards - including the Self Storage Association of Australasia's "Innovation Award" for our enterprise-class replication product (called StorMan MultiView) for large self storage groups.

Additionally, we recognise that great software helps build a great self storage facility - and over 25 of our clients have won major industry awards for their own facilities. Being 'powered by StorMan' is more than just a fancy label - it is a proven ticket to business growth and success.

There are many self storage associations around the world and StorMan holds 'service member' and 'service provider' memberships with many of these.

Our close ties and memberships have allowed us to understand the unique nature, needs and requirements of our industry as a whole. This, in turn, ensures we can deliver to you, industry- and region- tailored self storage software to help you run your business. Our memberships include the Self Storage Association of Australasia (SSAA), the Self Storage Association of the United Kingdom (SSAUK), the Texas Self Storage Association (TXSSA) and the Californian Self Storage Association (CSSA) - just to name a few.
