According to this Wikipedia entry, a webcast is a media file distributed over the Internet using streaming media technology. Essentially, webcasting is “broadcasting” over the Internet and allows you to see, hear and interact with a trainer who is presenting content to you. You can tune-in to StorMan's range of webcasts using virtually any computer.
The audio component (the presenter's voice) is generally output to you via your computer's speakers or via a telephone line that you can dial-into using an everyday phone.
